This academic degree offers professionals the inspiration and strategies to place Israel Education at the heart of Jewish communal life. This program was created through a partnership between The iCenter and the George Washington University, with generous support from the Marcus Foundation.

The hybrid learning structure is designed for working professionals. Generous merit scholarships are offered for all students.

APPLICATIONS

Step 1: Complete the initial online written application by March 22, 2024.

Step 2: Selected applicants will receive an invitation to interview with program faculty. Interviews will take place between April 1 –May 17, 2024. 

Step 3: Prior to the interview, candidates must submit the following documents:

  • Unofficial undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcript(s) גיליון ציונים
  • Professional letter of reference

Step 4: The iCenter admissions committee will recommend select applicants for admission to GW. These applicants will then submit a formal application to GW via the university’s online portal.

TUITION

Total cost per student, including academic credit hours, materials, travel, and room and board is $25,000/year. Thanks to generous support from the Marcus Foundation, all students accepted into the program receive significant scholarship benefits.

Year One (Graduate Certificate)
Each student receives significant scholarship funds and is only responsible for $4,900, with the hope that students’ employers will assist in the funding of their participation.

Year Two (Master’s Degree)
Each student receives significant scholarship funds and is responsible for only $6,900, with the hope that students’ employers will assist in the funding of their participation.

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Complete Step 1 of The iCenter’s online application by April 3, 2023. Applications are now open, please contact Erika Vogel with any questions.

2. Select applicants will be invited to Step 2—an interview with program faculty. Interviews will take place between April 24–May 19. Prior to the interview, applicants will submit their unofficial undergraduate transcript(s) / גיליון ציונים to The iCenter for review.

3. Following the interview, select applicants will be asked to submit Step 3 of The iCenter’s online application, which includes the submission of a letter of reference as well as graduate transcripts (if applicable). This must be done within two weeks of the interview.

4. Recommended applicants will be asked to submit their formal GW application, and its $80 application fee, directly to the university via their online portal.
