Tu B’shvat

Jewish tradition marks Tu B’shvat as “the birthday of the trees.” This is the only time of year we focus on the shivat ha’minim (seven plant species declared as sacred to Israel in the Torah), which makes Tu B’shvat the perfect holiday to teach our learners about Israel through an environmental lens.
