Tisha B'Av

The Three Weeks or Bein HaMetzarim (בין המצרים, "Between the Straits") is a period of mourning that is connected by two dates. The period starts with Shiva Assar B’Tammuz (שבעה עשר בתמוז, the 17th of Tammuz), and finishes with the end of Tisha B’Av (תשעה באב, the 9th of Av). The time period increases in intensity the closer we get to Tisha B’Av.

This is traditionally a time of mourning for tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people throughout history. Often challenging, we offer accessible and relatable entrance points for this period, as well as theme-based and value-driven programs. With this approach, these resources are as timeless as they are timely, and may be used throughout the year.
